Michael Vick Gets a New TV Show on Animal Planet

Vick, was arrested for animal abuse to his pitbull dogs in April of 07. The popular Atlanta NFL player show is based on his dog case. Animal Planets The Michael Vick Case, will premiere Sunday, August 24th at 10 pm.

“It’s imperative to bring viewers compelling TV that exposes a horrific issue like the Michael Vick
case and highlights the aftermath of its investigation,” says Marjorie
Kaplan, general manager of Animal Planet Media. “Bringing to the
forefront the entire case with firsthand accounts and rarely seen
footage, Animal Planet hopes that this eye-opener has a strong impact
on our audience and on dogs’ lives.”

“Dog fighting really is an underground world. The professional fighters
are very sophisticated, and they take great care to make sure law
enforcement doesn’t find out about it,” says Annemarie Lucas, ASPCA
investigator on the case and personality on Animal Planet’s ANIMAL
PRECINCT.

LeBron James to leave the US for 50 Million?

A close friend of James announced that he would offer to play overseas in Europe for a $50 million dollar salary.

While $50 million a year seems outlandish, it is within the realm of possibility, considering the reported $250 million contract David Beckham received two years ago to join Major League Soccer, the $33 million Micheal Jordan was paid by the Chicago Bulls for the 1997-98 season, the strength of the euro in comparison to the dollar, and the fact that European clubs are not bound by a salary cap.

"For the most part, the league considers the players to be fungible products," an official from the National Basketball Players Association said. "But LeBron is one of the three or four players the league would definitely hate to lose. If a team lost him or Kobe Bryant to Europe, it would lose its mind. It would be devastating."

Rick Ross Gives Back

Although Rick Ross have been in the media a lot due to negative feedback of his music career. Yet, he still manage himself to more positive things. The second annual Rick Ross Be Out Day charity event was held yesterday in Florida. Despite the shooting that went on during the event, Rick Ross believe the charity was a success.

"It’s another day in the city, I’m a keep it real," Ross told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times. "I feel like all the kids came and they left safe. Some dudes had a squabble on the side of the road and whatever happened happened, but other than that, all the kids got to see Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Brisco and we all had a good time."

No one was injured by the 10-12 shots that were fired.

"Oh I’m a do it every year,” he said. “You gotta be a leader. You gotta stand for something and represent for something and that’s what the kids need to see to get motivated to do bigger and better things in their own lives."

Even though there were shooting during the charity event. This is a good look coming from Rick Ross, don't you think?
